I am Louis Szabo, and I started my journey as a self-taught realism landscape artist at 15 years old, dedicated to creating impactful works that romanticise the immense biodiversity of the natural world. My paintings capture nature’s beauty through a realistic yet painterly style, using rich colour, juxtaposed textures, and atmospheric depth to bring landscapes to life with precision and emotion.

Rooted in my Slovakian heritage, much of my inspiration comes from Slovakia’s majestic wilderness, particularly the Tatry Mountains, where sweeping views, diverse wildlife, and vivid vegetation inspire recurring themes. While Tatry remains a recurring subject, my artistic vision extends far beyond, encompassing diverse scenes worldwide, often finding beauty in the otherwise imperfect and mundane. In addition to expansive landscapes, I often shift focus to intimate scenes, where vegetation or animals take centre stage, revealing the intricate details of nature’s design. Whether painting grand landscapes or focusing on the intricate details of flora and fauna, I aim to reflect nature’s richness with precision and heart.
