Angela is a self-taught abstract mixed media painter. The starting point for her work is always mood which is reflected in the chosen colour scheme. Her paintings are a continuation as well as counterpoint to her work as a psychotherapist: the work is emotionally guided, and process driven with a sense of direction but a not-yet-known outcome.

Her work aims to create a sense of harmony and balance often in response to the less harmonious and distressing material she works with as a therapist. Angela finds respite by walking in green surroundings. The beauty of the natural world is often the starting point for her desire to create vibrant, yet calm and soothing pieces of art.
